Marty the Tide Pool

(Sung to the tune of “Frosty, the Snowman”)

Marty the Tide Pool

Was a horizontal guy

With a mussel nose and a kelpish smile

And a gumboot for an eye

Marty the Tide Pool

For whom life was never dull

With a sea star, snail and a barnacle

Being scarfed by a white gull

There must have been some hefty

In the rock that big kid found.

He threw it into Marty

Who began to swirl around.

Marty the Tide Pool

Had to hurry on his way

In the sea he’ll ride

Till the next low tide

And be back in half a day
